Notice What’s Around You: Day 3
When most people think about New York City, they picture concrete and skyscrapers. Many of them have no idea that there is a beautiful oasis of nature in Brooklyn: Prospect Park. There are places in the Park where you can go and feel like you are in the middle of a forest. Prospect Park is the place where it is easiest for me to notice what’s around me and become totally present in the moment.
Today’s photo is of sunlight falling across the side of the path. I love the way the sunlight gives the impression that the leaves it is falling across are yellow and how the sunlight forms two beams, almost like a splash of yellow across a canvas. To me it demonstrates that when we shine a light on something, it changes in the process.
What comes up for you when you look at this photo?
And, please feel free to share your own photos of noticing what’s around you.
