I was doing yoga this morning and as I turned my body in one of the poses, I saw the shadow of the plants on my windowsill projected on the wall. Seeing it made me want to take a photo. I didn’t. I continued with my yoga class and the projection is now gone.

However, this left me thinking about how paying attention to the little things around me can help me maintain a positive mindset. It gave me the idea of taking a photo every day for 30 days of something/or a part of something in my surroundings that can help me be present, appreciative, and grateful.

So, this is Day 1 and this is my photo of the day.  When I look at it, I am reminded that much of life moves in a spiral, rather than in a linear manner. Thus, there is no straight path forward but rather cycles that build on each other and expand into more possibilities as learning and growth occur.

I would love you to join me on this 30-Day Journey. If you would like to receive daily emails, please email me at debhoward@guidingchange.com.  Otherwise, you can come back here for my daily posts.

Whether you join me on my journey or not, consider what about this image helps you be more present, appreciative and grateful.
