When I think of hibiscus flowers, I think of lush tropical environments.
However, I took this photo on my block in Brooklyn in a “rain garden.”
Rain gardens have been planted on City streets here in New York City to catch and manage storm water. Most of them are filled with non-descript plants but this one is filled with hibiscus plants. Go figure.
