“Last night as I was sleeping,
I dreamt—marvelous error!—
that I had a beehive here inside
my heart. And the golden bees
were making white combs and
sweet honey from my old
failures.”-Antonio Machado
Why are we so afraid of failure? As toddlers, we lost our balance and fell, over and over until we learned to walk. One isn‘t possible without the other.
Failure is one of the best ways we learn – as long as we can make honey from it. Think of a recent failure you have experienced. Go to sleep tonight and request the golden bees of your heart and spirit to find a way to turn it into sweet honey.
Lovely thoughts Deb. Wishing you and yours a wonderful new year.
Thank you Joy.
Happy New Year to you and yours as well.
Deb
I so needed this reminder! After having to close the business I gave so much to over the last eight years, it has been difficult to see the silver lining and appreciate how much I’ve learned and how much the experience has given me. I’m keeping my eye on the honey! Thanks.
